     The following publications (of which the detailed content does not appear on this website) provide a much broader insight into the areas discussed in this section.  I have provided the information that is necessary for you to "Google" these topics on the internet and/or purchase them either online or at your local bookstore.  The Publishing Company is not a Sponsor of this website effort, nor do I receive any financial compensation or incentives for "spotlighting" their work.  I merely recommend this material because of it's important role that it has played in my life and past endeavors.  The publications are well-written and professionally done.  I highly recommend them (if you can still find them).


A Salute to Historic Black Women, ...  is Vol. 1 of the “Black History” publications series that was published in 1986 by Empak Enterprises, Inc. (Chicago).  It profiles the accomplishments of twenty-four American Black women over the past three centuries.

A Salute to Black Scientists and Inventors, ...  is Vol. 2 of the “Black History” publications series that was published in 1986 by Empak Publishing Company, a Division of Enterprises, Inc. (Chicago).  It has biographical material on eighteen black Americans who made significant contributions to science and technology in America during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

A Salute to Black Pioneers, ...  is Vol. 3 of the “Black History” publications series that was published in 1986 by Empak Publishing Company, a Division of Enterprises, Inc. (Chicago).  It presents brief biographical sketches of African Americans who pioneered in various fields, including exploration, statesmanship, business, and activism.

A Salute to Black Civil Rights Leaders, ...  is Vol. 4 of the “Black History” publications series that was published in 1987 by Empak Publishing Company, a Division of Enterprises, Inc. (Chicago).  It presents biographical sketches of over twenty key figures in the civil rights movement, including W.E.B. DuBois, Fannie Lou Hamer, Martin Luther King, Jr, and Josephine Ruffin.

A Salute to Historic Black Abolitionists, ...  is Vol. 5 of the “Black History” publications series that was published in 1988 by Empak Publishing Company, (Chicago).  It presents brief biographical sketches of twenty-two black abolitionists, including Frederick Douglass, Prince Hall, and Nat Turner.
 

A Salute to Historic African Kings and Queens, ...  is Vol. 6 of the “Black History” publications series that was published in 1988 by Empak Publishing Company, (Chicago).  It presents single-page biographies of twenty-four African rulers, from Menes, who lived 3000 years before Christ to Haile Selassie, a twentieth-century emperor.

A Salute to Historic Black Firsts, ...  is Vol. 7 of the “Black History” publications series that was published in 1989 by Empak Publishing Company, (Chicago).  It presents biographies of twenty-four black men and women who made notable contributions in the fields of government, education, law, journalism, religion, medicine, sports, and the arts.

A Salute to Historic Blacks in the Arts, ...  is Vol. 8 of the “Black History” publications series that was published in 1988 by Empak Publishing Company, (Chicago).  It Presents biographies of twenty-four black men and women who made notable contributions in the arts, including Marion Anderson, James Baldwin, Alexander Dumas, Lorraine Hansberry, Paul Robeson, and Bert Williams.

A Salute to Historic Blacks in the Federal Government, ...  is Vol. 9 of the “Black History” publications series that was published in 1990 by Empak Publishing Company, (Chicago).  It presents biographical sketches of more than twenty African Americans who have served in either elected or appointed positions in the national government during the nineteenth and twentieth centuries.

A Salute to Black Educators, ...  is Vol. 10 of the “Black History” publications series that was published in 1989 by Empak Publishing Company, (Chicago).  It presents biographical sketches of twenty-four African American educators, including Hallie Quinn Brown, Mordecai Johnson, Fannie Moore Richards, and Arthur Schomburg.
