Thoughts on Success
Success does not happen by accident: It doesn't come by "being lucky", "crossing your fingers and praying", or by "rubbing a rabbit's foot and hoping". It comes by continually applying certain principles. These principles are like the continual dropping of water on the rock. It's not the big splash that grinds the rock down, but it's that constant drop of water on the rock that removes the rock or washes it away and so forth. By continually applying these principles in your life, it will bring you into a position of success. It doesn't happen over night__ but it happens! Everything begins with a seed and begins to grow. Any enterprise is built upon wise planning, becomes strong through common sense, and profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts. Always strive to be on top because it's the bottom that's overcrowded!
Energizing Your Spirit for Creative Results
God has a secret formula for "seeding" your spirit (for feeding and energizing your spirit man). It's found in Joshua 1:8. Now folks, that is very simple__precise. And if you'll follow through with it, it'll energize your recreated spirit; it'll seed your spirit; it'll implant the incorruptible seed of God's Word in there and you'll become so fired up that it'll start working in your life and all you will have to do is keep it watered and it'll work for you night and day.
Write down what you want to see produced in your life. You must feed upon God's Word in order to "plant" in your spirit what you want to see produced. If there's no "sowing", then there can't be any reproducing. There can't be any "bringing forth". You are a free moral agent and you have the power of choice what you are going to put in your spirit. And you have to choose. You've got to decide: you've got to sit down and decide what you want to put in your spirit. And then you got to put it in!!
"This Book of the Law"...(The Bible: God's Book of Success)... This is your information book. If there is an area that you are having some problems in__you haven't seen to come to pass what you want to see come to pass, you need to get your Bible; you need to get your concordance; you need to go into this and you need to find out what you need to receive from God's book. That is your book of information. This will inform you of what you can receive. This will inform you!
Information comes by knowledge acquired by reading, observation, and studying. Information causes you to be informed and when you are informed, you become inspired in that particular area of information that you received: Makes sense doesn't it?
The Bible is God's "How To" Book on Success. Success can be defined as:
..to hit the mark ...to have a favorable outcome ...to receive results
hoped for ...to have things turn out as planned!
Read about the life of Christopher Columbus: He had the faith to go on. He achieved the success that he had hoped for because he had the corresponding actions of faith to continue on (to sail on).
Jesus has come to recover us from failure and to restore us to success. God's formula for success can be found in Joshua 1:8.
God's Word in your mouth...God's Word shall not depart from your mouth...You are going to have to keep on saying what God says... speaking the Word only.
Meditate...Meditate means to ponder and to think upon. Meditating upon God's Word gives you understanding on how you can make your way prosperous. Meditating (spending time in God's Word) gives you understanding on what to do to be successful in life.
Observe to do...so that you will have understanding on how to do the Will of God (the Word of God), in your life.
You determine your level of success!! You make the choice!! God has made His choice: He has sent the substance of things hoped for (faith); He has placed the ball now in your hands. You determine your level of achievement, and your level for success. You decide: Thou (you) shall make thy (your) way prosperous..Thou (you) shall have good success!
When?
....When you get the right information, meditate on it, and observe to do it! The ball is in your hands. You're up to bat. The choice is yours (just how much success you want to achieve). Do you want to be a 30-fold, 60-fold, or a 100-fold? If you really believe that you are a God-kind of creature, then the success of God and the things of God will begin to work in your life.
Doing the things of God... (See Eph. 3:20, Deut. 29:9, James 1:25...) The Word of God will regulate your life for success. It'll keep you on the "straight and narrow". See (Heb. 11:1 & Rom. 12:1)
Faith will cause you to obtain the unobtainable. Your faith will take you where your enemies cannot go!

Any enterprise is built upon wise planning, becomes strong through common sense, and profits wonderfully by keeping abreast of the facts.
...Wisdom says: "I, Godly wisdom, dwell with prudence (common sense)... That's the two types of wisdom.
...profits wonderfully... (A profit is a return on an investment). Planning is very important in "getting the ball rolling". You may say: "I don't see a whole lot yet". Well, in the beginning stages, there is planning and it "don't show up much", but planning will show up when you "start the construction". Everything has a season. In everything we endeavor to do, there is a period of time before it fully develops and matures into reality. So any enterprise (undertaking, project, or business venture) is built by wise planning...
Planning...
common sense (prudence)...
keeping abreast of the facts...
A man's heart plans his ways, but God directs his steps!! (based on Proverbs 16:1)
7 Steps to Help You Accomplish Your Goals:
1. Take inventory of your life. What do you have in your possession that God can use? Gal. 5:7
says that whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Moses had a rod... David had a
slingshot... Elijah had a meal barrel... It was nothing until the anointing of God came upon it!
2. Become dissatisfied with second best (Pr. 23:7)
3. Make up your mind what you're going to do (John 5)
4. Have a plan (Pr. 16:3)
5. Stand on God's promises. "In Him we move and have our being"; Be doers of the Word.
6. Start where you are...NOW
7. Work your plan... Do it... Do it... Do it... Faith without works is dead. Work your plan. The anointing of God was behind David's sling when he killed the giant... The anointing of God was behind Moses's rod when he stretched it over the Red Sea and the waters parted... The anointing of God was on the little widow's meal barrel when Elijah said "the meal barrel will not run dry and your cruse of oil will not fail"... The anointing of God behind your life: it makes all the difference in the world. Instead of a minority, you become a majority!
Corresponding actions of inspired thoughts cause "things hoped for" to become a reality.
...Patience: To sustain, to be steadfast, to endure despite opposition.
...Persistence: To continue in the face of opposition to endure.
Quitters never win and winners never quit! (Heb. 10:35)
Patience keeps you from casting your confidence away. One good sound idea... one good sound idea or thought... one good sound scripture (and you know it's from God and it fits your particular need of what you're believing God for): don't let go of it because that's the scripture and that's the Word that will "put you over". Lay aside anything that will hinder you from continuing on (Heb. 12:1).
Things that will hinder you: (weights & encumbrances)
1. Procrastination
2. Lack of interest (lukewarmness)
3. Indecision
4. Lack of organized plans: (being unorganized)
5. Neglecting to move when God gives you an inspired thought
6. Don't fear criticism

10 Things on How to Train Yourself to be Patient and Persistent
1. Know exactly what you want or desire.
2. Have a strong desire for it.
3. Have confidence in the Greater One that is within you. Know that you can do all things through
Christ who strengthens you.
4. Have a good set of organized plans.
5. Have sufficient knowledge of what you are believing God for.
6. Work with other people that have some knowledge. However, you need to remember that cheap
knowledge can be expensive.
7. Meditate on God's Word continually (Pr. 16:3). Meditate on your plans: "Know it inside and out".
8. Overcome fear of criticism. Don't worry about what other people might say. Your desire to be
successful is going to have to be stronger than what other people has to say about you.
9. Harness your mind. In other words, have victory over your thought life. Don't allow thoughts
of failure: not making it...not having enough...lack... nobody liking you...
The Bible is God's textbook for success. Another definition of success is: "the power or the ability to obtain favorable results". Good information gives you the power or ability to obtain favorable results.
There are Laws that God set in motion. Gen. 1:11 is where it was set in motion:
God said to the earth, "you bring forth"...
He said to the herbs, "you bring seed"
He said to the fruit trees, "you give back"...
He said to man, "you give back"...

Here, we have the basic Law of "giving back". "Everything reproduces after its own kind". In other words, there is always a "giving back" (or replenishing) or a giving back of its own kind.

Gen. 8:22 says that "while the earth remains, there will always be seed-time and harvest". As long as the earth remains, there shall be a time to give and there's a time for "giving back" what was given. As long as the earth remains there is a compensation for what was sown. Also see Eccl. 3.
The Law of all Laws is the Law of Compensation__the Law of "return"__the Law of "action and reaction". Gal. 6:7 says that God is not mocked: Whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap".

SOW:
to plant seed for growth...
to scatter...
With compensation, there is a "giving back equivalent to":
You "sow" little, you "get" little...
You sow much, you get much.
Now there is a way for increasing your return upon what you sow.
SOW:
to set in motion...
to introduce something in an environment...
to implant...

When you begin to make wise planning:
when you ask... you shall receive,
when you begin to seek, you began to find, and
when you begin to knock, you begin to set things in motion and
there is compensation for whatsoever a man sets in motion
or what he implants into an environment, that shall he also receive back!
This can cause your sight to be set "high": What the spirit of man can believe,
he can always receive. Walt Disney proved this!

REAP:
to gather together...
to obtain something that was set in motion...
to obtain the end results of what you've sown...
to win...
to possess...
to succeed (Old English archaic word for reap) Also see Heb. 10:35...
The World strives to get something for nothing. However, you can't get something for nothing! The way to increase the Law of Compensation is found in Matthew 5:41. It's called "going the extra mile"!
Accurate:
free from error...
conforming exactly to the truth of a particular "standard"
The way to obtain accurate thinking is the renewing of the mind into the conformity with the Word of God... the "Standard" that God has set out. The degree of accuracy of accurate thinking is increased the more we measure up to the Word of God (for the benefits for the Kingdom of God).

JESUS SAVES • JESUS HEALS • JESUS DELIVERS
—
Has anyone ever told you that God loves you and that
He has a wonderful plan for your life? I have a real quick, but
important question to ask you. If you were to die this very second, do you
know for sure, beyond a shadow of a doubt, that you would go to Heaven?
Let me quickly share with you what the Holy Bible reads. It reads "for all have sinned and come short of the glory of God" and "for the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord". The Bible also reads, "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved". And you’re a "whosoever" right? Of course you are; all of us are!

I’m going to say a quick prayer for you: “I pray that the Lord Jesus will bless you and your family with long and healthy lives. I pray that Jesus will make Himself real to you and that He will do a quick work in your heart.” If you have not received Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, I pray that you will do so now. If you would like to receive the gift that God has for you today, say this with your heart and lips out loud.
Dear Lord Jesus, come into my heart. Forgive me of my sin. Wash me and cleanse me. Set me free. Jesus, thank You that You died for me. I believe that You are risen from the dead and that You’re coming back again for me. Fill me with the Holy Spirit. Give me a passion for the lost, a hunger for the things of God and a holy boldness to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ. I’m saved; I’m born again, I’m forgiven and I’m on my way to Heaven because I have You Jesus in my heart.
As a minister of the gospel of Jesus Christ, I tell you today that all of your sins are forgiven. Always remember to run to God and not from God because He loves you and has a great plan for your life. Now, I encourage you to find (ask friends, relatives, etc.) a Bible-Believing church and actively get involved with it. If I don’t see you “on this earth”, I will see you in Heaven!...
